Brides Magazine Dream Team / WPPI Maring Exhibit

It has been a couple of days since my last post, but we have been crazy busy. A couple of days ago, we were actually in front of the camera for a change. Brides magazine is teaming up with Disney to throw an unpresidented dream wedding of a lifetime. We were hired to be the celebrity photographers along with celebrity chef Tyler Florence, celebrity party planner David Tutera, cakes by Sylvia Weinstock, and other people in the top of their field to create the ultimate dream wedding experience. So, Brides Magazine had a "Dream Team" photo shoot at Pier 59 Studios in Manhattan. Keep you eyes open for the double page spread and upcoming interviews, etc.. leading up to the big day.

In other news, we have been printing HUGE fine art prints for LexJet's booth at the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International trade show coming up April 6-12th in Las Vegas. LexJet, whom we buy all of our paper and inks from, is hosting an exhibit of our wedding photographs.

Motion Picture Website

We are excited about the launch of our new Flash 8 based motion picture website. I have always designed my own websites. I spent the past 6 months learning, dreaming, and designing a website that includes the power of video and the web. We are thrilled with the outcome of as it includes streaming video from a Flash Communication Server and contains compelling slideshows that showcase our photography in the light that it should be.

Now, we are working on adding to "Behind the Scenes". This new addition with be a full motion picture section of our website that will be an educational resource for professional photographers. We receive calls and emails from around the globe from photographers on all levels looking to learn more about the success of studio and the integrity of our photographs. It will allow us to answer frequently asked questions about the equipment we use, our exclusive techniques, and give business advise. Our goal is to keep it changing and evolving along with our company.

Blackberry 8700 functions with Mac (perfectly)

I have long awaited the perfect option to keep my phone, emails, address book, etc.. with me at all times. You see, I am Mac based for the most part, and I have tried everything from the HP and IPaq pocket PC's to various phones and nothing quite did what I needed.

Today, I got the new 8700 Blackberry that just came out a few weeks ago. Not only was is a breeze to setup, but it works seamlessly with my .mac account. My emails are with me in real time on the go, and I can sync all of my data as well. I can even blog on the go, so that is pretty amazing. You have to download a software called pocketmac to make it work, but it was a breeze to install and had all of my info synched in just minutes.

For those mac users out there that want an easy solution that is perfect for the mac, the new Blackberry is the answer.

The Shine Party

So last night was a treat. We went to a party to celebrate the success of Star Jones Reynolds book "Shine". We shot the cover photo of the book in Star's Penthouse Apartment and we learned that the book made the New York Times Bestseller list. Very cool. Best of all, the party was also to raise attention for a charity called Dress for Success. The mission of Dress for Success is to advance low-income women's economic and social development and to encourage self-sufficiency though career development and employment retention. You can learn more about this organization and how you can donate or help at www.dressforsuccess.org.
