Great End to an exciting Month
October flew by with lighting speed. The end of the month was so filled with exciting assignments, weddings, parties, fashion, and conferences, that it seemed like a completely different career most every single day. That is one great thing about being a lifestyle photographer. We captured anything to do with life and style, which gives us opportunities to see the world from unique perspectives.
The PhotoPlus show, which is an International Commercial Photography Conference held in New York, was fantastic. I got to connect with fellow photographers around the country and beyond. Jen and Steve Bebb, Cliff Maunter, and Susan, it was great to see you guys and get to enjoy some time away from the conference. We came away from PhotoPlus jazzed about a lot of new ideas. Most of all, we found some new fine art papers and metals to print on which will allow us to roll out new fine art products that will give us yet another edge. I am excited to share our new visions and presentation offerings.
Jennifer and I want to shout out a special thanks to our good friend Ken Sklute from Arizona. He worked with me at a wedding that Saturday at The Rainbow Room in Manhattan, and it was such a pleasure. Ken is an amazing photographer, and I have admired his photography and him as a person for many years. Karen and Greg, your photographs are out of this world! We are so anxious to share them with you.

Bridal Fashion week was also at the same time. My brother Bobby Maring, a North Carolina based photographer who often works with us on big assignments, joined up with me, Derrick, and Jennifer to capture the runway of many designers such as Kenneth Pool, Amsale, Austin Scarlett, Jenny Packum, and many others. Jennifer was hosting, and Derrick was filming behind the scenes interviews for TogetherInStyle.com for season 2 which will go live in January. The hit of the week for me was Jenny Packum. Her designs were very original with unique cuts, flowing fabrics, and lots of sparkle. Just when you think you've seen it all, designers seem to come up with even more grand ideas and ways to use fabric.
Happy Birthday to our
good friend Ryan who celebrated with two wild birthday parties in NYC. David Tutera's team designed two nights of incredible parties that were so stunning that we were all in sensory overload.
The photo on the left is taken of us in a Rickshaw in the rain in Manhattan. All the guests were
escorted from a gorgeous cocktail party via rickshaw to part two of the party at Dukes Barbecue. It was so funny when we all showed up at the honky tonk in tuxedos. The second party was in a loft the next night and the room was decked out in a sexy red theme. Jennifer and I had so much fun, and it was great to relax with our great friends.
