Thinking Big

We have been driving back and forth from NYC to CT a lot lately. So, I picked up Donald Trumps new audio book Think Big and Kick Ass and just finished listening to it. The book is filled with content, but also backs up the content with real life stories. It is interesting to see that regardless of the business you are in, there are tough decisions to make.

Jennifer and I have always been big believers in thinking positive. But this book is about more than that. It is about thinking big. As a small company, we started literally with nothing more than a dream to survive. We didnt like the idea of being a starving artist, but for a few years, that is what we were. Just getting by and making from the heart decisions and following our gut feelings on how to make our photography the best it could be.

Our mission has always been to create the very best. But more than that. We wanted to create visionary work that would be literally one of a kind. In 2001 I won International Wedding Album of the Year for the first time. I was only 30 years old and had something that nobody else had. An all digital album that was more like a coffee table book than an album. Today, every studio has the same book. Every manufacturer makes the same style of book and at this point and there is nothing original about it.

Today, we have evolved beyond this and even build some books in house so that we can offer products that are bigger thinking than just the best in quality. A product that is artful and something that nobody else has which allows our photographs and our presentations to be literal works of art.

Back to the book. Its inspired us to think even bigger. You ever notice that the right book, the right people, the right information, seems to show up at exactly the right time in your life?
